The Netherlands – Starting in 2026, Air Liquide Benelux will buy renewable energy from Vattenfall.

An agreement known as the “Power Purchase Agreement” was signed by the two businesses, with a 15-year term beginning in 2026. Air Liquide will buy electricity from the Hollandse Kust Zuid wind farm in accordance with the agreement. This relates to installed capacity of 115 MW.

Second agreement

This is Air Liquide’s second Benelux agreement for the purchase of sustainable energy. The company entered into an agreement for a total installed sustainable energy capacity of about 270 MW. That covers seventy percent of the Benelux region’s electrical needs. Air Liquide estimates that during the course of the contracts, it may cut CO2 emissions by up to 8.5 million tons.
