Germany – Together, Norwegian Equinor and German EnBW have showed interest in developing offshore wind.
The alliance is anticipated to make a substantial contribution to a clean energy future in Europe and Germany. In order to meet a goal of 30 gigawatts (GW) of installed wind power capacity by 2030, Germany has developed new development plans for offshore wind turbine sites. The plans represent a major expansion of the 8 GW capacity that is already available.
Since offshore wind has been deemed to be in the best interests of the general public, efforts to link it up with onshore electrical networks have accelerated.
