Germany – By strengthening its onshore and solar business teams, RWE is moving forward with its expansion of renewable energy in Germany.
The company has also opened seven new offices in Germany since the beginning of the year, adding to the already existing 200 job openings. In addition to Berlin, DĆ¼sseldorf, Mainz, Stuttgart, Augsburg, and Leipzig and Rostock, the company has opened new offices in these cities. In addition, they support the company’s current locations in Hamburg, Hanover, and Essen, Germany.
German wind farm
Three turbines with hub heights of 164 meters and rated outputs of 5.7 megawatts (MW) each are being installed in Grevenbroich, making the turbines among the most powerful in RWE’s fleet in Germany. The North Rhine-Westphalian wind farm, when it is completed in December, will be able to provide enough green electricity to power 12,000 homes. It is also expected that the Bedburg A 44n wind farm, a joint project with the town of Bedburg, will be operational soon.
RWE is also working to build out its solar project portfolio. Photovoltaic plants with battery storage have been awarded to this company recently as part of an innovation tender in the Rhineland region. By 2030, the company intends to implement renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 1 gigawatt in North Rhine-Westphalia alone. RWE intends to spend $4 billion on this project.
