The Netherlands – HSM Offshore Energy and GE’s Grid Solutions business have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on future AC projects in Europe and beyond.
This MoU can help speed up the energy transition by ensuring that offshore wind resources are connected to the power grid in a reliable manner.
The Memorandum of Understanding between GE Grid Solutions and HSM Offshore Energy focuses on assisting the development of offshore wind projects by providing an optimized and cost-effective turnkey value proposition that adequately covers complete engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, including HV equipment, grid compliance studies, full testing and pre-commissioning, transport, installation at sea, and final hook up and commissioning.
Low LCOE
Developers can also benefit from GE and HSM’s ongoing design standardization efforts, which are aimed at achieving the lowest levelized cost of energy (LCOE) while eliminating interface risks during the construction and operational phases of offshore substations.
