Germany – Heerema Marine Contractors has been selected to install offshore wind foundations for EnBW’s He Dreiht wind farm.
The project includes the transportation and installation of 64 monopiles and transition pieces. Heerema will use the IHC IQIP double-walled noise mitigation system NMS-10,000, among other systems, to reduce noise pollution during operations.
Europe’s largest
The He Dreiht wind farm is located in the German North Sea, about 110 kilometers west of Heligoland and 90 kilometers northwest of Borkum. He Dreiht is one of Europe’s largest planned offshore wind power projects, with a capacity of 900 MW and an expected start-up date of 2025.
