Finland – Nordex Group received an order for the 380 MW Pjelax-Böle-Kristinestad Norr wind farm cluster in Finland.
Fortum, a Finnish utility company, signed a contract with the Nordex Group to supply, install, and commission 56 N163 wind turbines of the latest 6.X variant.
This is the first project completed by the Fortum and Uniper wind and solar teams in collaboration with the Finnish energy company Helen, as well as the first order received by the Nordex Group from Fortum. A long-term Premium Service contract is also included in the order.
The project, which marks Nordex’s Nordic debut of the 6.X turbine variant, is located in the municipalities of NĂ€rpes and Kristinestad in southwestern Finland, south of Vaasa. The turbines, which will be delivered in a project-specific operating mode of 6.8 MW, are expected to be installed in the spring of 2023.
