The Netherlands – Neste has given Technip Energies a significant contract for the expansion of their capacity to produce renewable products in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, that is worth between $50 million and $250 million.

The contract includes engineering, procurement services, and construction management (EPsCm) for the expansion of Neste’s current Rotterdam renewables refinery, which will boost Neste’s annual capacity for renewable products by 1.3 million tons.

NEXBTL

This agreement comes after Technip Energies’ Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) submission in 2021.

The manufacturing procedure is based on Neste’s patented NEXBTL technology, which enables the creation of renewable fuels from renewable waste and residue raw materials like used cooking oil and animal fat waste.
