France – TotalEnergies has signed a fifteen-year agreement with Air Products to supply 70 thousand tons of green hydrogen starting in 2030. This is the first long-term agreement signed by TotalEnergies after it issued a tender for the supply of 500 thousand tons of green hydrogen per year to decarbonize its European refineries.

Air Products will supply green hydrogen to the various northern European refineries. At the same time, the two companies signed a letter of intent for the supply of renewable energy. This involves a PPA agreement for the purchase of 150 MW of solar energy by Air Products in Texas in the US. In addition, the parties are also exploring opportunities for the purchase of renewable energy in the UK, Poland and France.

TotalEnergies launched a tender in September 2023 for the off-take of a total of 500,000 tons of green hydrogen per year to green its European refineries. TotalEnergies has a refinery in Antwerp and is a co-shareholder of Zeeland Refinery.
