Norway – TECO 2030 has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with an unnamed company to collaborate on various fuel cell projects totaling 50MW of fuel cell power.
The projects represent megawatt-scale marine fuel cell and on-shore stationary fuel cell systems. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) defines a three-year cooperative commitment to effectively complete the project objectives.
Fuel cells
Fuel cells are hydrogen-powered engines that create electricity without the use of combustion. As a result, they emit fewer pollutants than traditional, combustion-based power generation methods. Moreover, fuel cells are highly efficient, delivering more power per unit of fuel. As a result, fuel cells provide a viable alternative to traditional power generation while also providing considerable health, reliability, and environmental advantages.
