Norway – Logan Energy and Moreld, the Norwegian energy giant, have signed a landmark agreement to develop hydrogen power projects.
Logan Energy and Moreld will collaborate to connect production sites directly to local renewable energy sources in order to both fuel and decarbonize the region’s industry. Logan Energy is expected to provide technology solutions, while Moreld will provide local market intelligence and construction support.
The Scottish company will deliver hydrogen solutions for the Norwegian and Scandinavian energy markets under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with the option to expand the collaboration to other regions.
Energy transition
The Nordic and Scandinavian markets have jumped out in front of the energy transition challenge. With a heavy emphasis on renewable energy, the region may be decades ahead of other markets. The Nordic countries have world-leading levels of renewable energy and, historically, Europe’s lowest power prices.
