United States/Saudi Arabia – KACST and CarbonMeta Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the processing of plastic waste into hydrogen gas high-value solid carbon materials using microwave catalysis.
KACST and CarbonMeta will collaborate to advance the microwave catalysis processes developed by the University of Oxford, as well as to develop hydrogen and carbon extraction processes for industrial use.
KACST and CarbonMeta will collaborate to speed up the commercialization of waste plastic catalysis and material separation processes for the production of hydrogen, graphite, and carbon nanotubes.
