Europe – Engie’s Global Energy Management & Sales unit has signed an agreement with O-I Glass to supply the company’s European plants with approximately 4.3 trillion kilowatt hours (TWh).

ENGIE will provide electricity generated from solar, wind, and hydro sources to O-I facilities in Europe over a ten-year period.

Long-term partnership

This is the latest deal in a long-term partnership between the two organizations. Energy services for O-I factories in France are already provided by ENGIE, including natural gas and electricity. O-I also gets its electricity from ENGIE in Mexico and Peru, while ENGIE provides 25 percent of O-US I’s electricity consumption with renewable electricity.
