Germany/China – A partnership between CSSC Power Group (CPGC) and BASF has been established to hasten the development of onboard carbon capture (CO2 capture) systems for commercial maritime applications.

To hasten the development of an onboard carbon capture system employing BASF’s OASE blue gas treatment technology, the businesses will test various marine fuel and engine types.

OASE blue, a gas treatment technology from BASF, has a very wide operating range, low energy usage, and low solvent losses. It was created to address the particular problems caused by the pollutants in flue gas sources from the cement industry, waste incinerators, steam reformers, and fossil fuel power plants.
