Norway – The pilot installation for carbon capture by Ocean GeoLoop has completed its first phase of commissioning and system testing at Norske Skog Skogn in Norway.
The carbon capture pilot plant at the Norske Skog Skogn facility has been built, installed, mechanically finished, and first commissioned by Ocean GeoLoop in cooperation with subcontractors and partners. The outcomes demonstrate that the pilot plant and the procedure run according to schedule.
Carbon capture by nature
The company unveiled the GeoLoop CC technology in 2022, which uses safe, natural processes to capture point source CO2 emissions and convert them to a stable, liquid state. This procedure is known as “Carbon capture by nature” by Ocean GeoLoop. The GeoLoop CC will assist organizations and nations all over the world in achieving their targets of decreased emissions before 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050. The company reiterates its goal of starting the pilot plant in the summer of 2022.
