Poland – Vestas has secured orders from Eurowind Energy A/S in Poland for three wind projects totaling 70 MW in capacity.

The three projects, dubbed Zniny Damaslawek, Pniewy, and Miescisko, are located in central Poland’s Wielkopolskie Voivodeship.

Eurowind Energy A/S, a leading developer and operator of renewable energy projects in Europe, has placed an order for the delivery and installation of Vestas turbines at the sites.

Track record bolstered

The additional 70 MW capacity complements the approximately 140 MW at eight projects in Poland for which Eurowind Energy has already placed orders with Vestas in the last two years. Vestas’ strong track record in Poland, with approximately 3.8 GW in orders won, is bolstered by this order.

Vestas will supply and install 15 V100-2.0 MW turbines at Zniny Damaslawek, as well as 12 additional V100-2.0 MW turbines operating at 2.2 MW, for a total project capacity of 56 MW.

Vestas will supply and install four V100-2.0 MW turbines for the 8 MW Pniewy project. Vestas will supply and install three V100-2.0 MW turbines at Miescisko, which will have a capacity of 6 MW.

Along with delivery and installation, Vestas will service all three projects over a 20-year period, ensuring power performance assurance and Vestas’ industry-leading service capabilities throughout the project’s life.

Turbines are expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2022 and commissioned in the first quarter of 2023.
