Germany – RWE’s Kaskasi offshore wind farm is set to become the powerhouse behind the operations of seven major German industrial customers.

The primary goal of the Kaskasi offshore wind farm is to supply green electricity to seven major German industrial customers, including DHL Group, Ensinger, Evonik, Infraserv Höchst, thyssenkrupp Steel Europe, and Vodafone. Through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), RWE aims to meet the energy needs of these industrial giants while significantly reducing carbon emissions.

At the heart of the Kaskasi wind farm are 38 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 342 megawatts. Notably, three turbines feature the world’s first rotor blades designed for recyclability. Once operational, Kaskasi will have the capacity to supply green electricity to approximately 400,000 households annually.
