The Netherlands – With an open invitation to companies, research agencies, knowledge institutions, and other stakeholders, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has initiated an interest survey, marking the first step towards shaping the nation’s foray into offshore hydrogen production technology.
The venture unfolds through two distinct demonstration projects, each targeting a specific capacity for electrolysis. The first project envisions the construction of an electrolyser with a capacity of less than 100 megawatts. Meanwhile, the second project, of greater scale, involves an electrolyser boasting an impressive capacity of approximately 500 megawatts. The interest survey primarily centers around the initial hydrogen demonstration project at sea.
The survey seeks to gauge the practical needs for financial support, aligning with the real-world requirements of those involved in the projects.
